Clifford W. Colwell Jr., M.D., is the medical director of the Shiley Center for Orthopedic Research and Education at Scripps Clinic. He completed his medical degree and surgery residency at the University of Michigan and has helped thousands of patients over his career. His research led to him to authoring over 200 papers and speaking at many symposia around the world. Dr. Colwell and his wife, Carolyn, are also long-time residents of La Jolla and now call White Sands their home.
