June 15, 2023 -- The Terraces of Los Gatos team, led by driver Belayneh Bayu and buildings and grounds director Vincent Foresta, were proud to partner with the Ethiopian Christian Fellowship Church to gather donations of medical supplies and equipment to be shipped to those desperately in need in Ethiopia. Ethiopia has been involved in an ongoing civil conflict that has led to concern from humanitarian groups.
Residents, families and team members participated in gathering donations during the month-long collection drive. Donations included older and unused medical equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs and mattresses. Residents also gathered supplies on their own including bandages, tweezers and more. The items were delivered to a storage container which will be shipped to Ethiopia in July.
“This project gave me an opportunity to give back,” said Vincent. “I was proud to partner with my co-workers and our community to support this important initiative.”
