The school year kicked off for students at Parkside Elementary with a big boost from Judson Park residents and team members.

Led by residents Mary Mills and Marilyn Smith, the community has worked over the course of the summer to collect school supplies for the students in an effort to give the kids a good start to their new school year. The Judson Park crew, which has provided school supplies for local students the last six years, delivered everything from new backpacks to notebooks this month.

“I find joy in being buys and trying to make a difference,” Mills said in an interview with KOMO News.
