Residents, team members celebrate Cesar Chavez Day

Westminster Gardens residents and team members celebrated Cesar Chavez Day with students from the Duarte and El Monte school districts.

For a seventh straight year, team members, residents and the students worked together on this special day of service by planting an array of flowers and other native plants throughout the community. Also Manuel H. Bernal, chief operating officer of the Cesar Chavez Foundation, was on hand to share the life and work of Chavez who was a civil rights, Latino and farm labor leader.
