Brian Lloyd receives 2022 Board of Directors Award from Housing Development Consortium

January 26, 2023 -- Beacon Development Group Vice President Brian Lloyd was announced as the 2022 recipient of the Board of Directors Award by the Housing Development Consortium (HDC) of Seattle-King County. Brian was recognized for his leadership in the affordable housing sector and his committed service to the industry and HDC vision for nearly 40 years. Brian has sat on the HDC board for the past nine years and is responsible for the creation of HDC’s Recruiting Diversity Task Force, and the Housing Development Internship Program, launched in 2019. He was also Board President from 2017 – 2018 and 2021 – 2022.

At Beacon Development Group, Brian is responsible for all third-party consulting projects and client relationships. He jointly manages the overall operations at Beacon and supervises housing developers, development assistants, and construction managers. “His strategic planning vision and his DEI work at Beacon has allowed the organization to continue to be successful in its mission goals,” said Cindy Proctor, Vice President of Beacon. Brian is a champion for the growth of low-income housing in the Seattle and King County region and has participated in more than 40 projects worth more than $750 million for Beacon. Beacon Development Group is part of HumanGood, the nation’s sixth-largest non-profit senior living provider with headquarters in California, Washington, and Pennsylvania. “Brian is committed to expand affordable housing in Washington,” said Jennifer Kappen, Senior Vice President of Affordable Housing at HumanGood. “He is passionate about the work he does with HumanGood and other organizations with the mission to provide affordable housing to underserved populations.”
