A new vision in Memory Support

May 16, 2023 – Today, HumanGood opened a new residential memory support neighborhood at The Mansion at Rosemont, the premier boutique life plan community on the Main Line. Events included a housewarming party for residents and families, where guests were served recipes submitted by residents and their families, along with printed recipe cards for guests to take home.

Our proprietary memory support program, immerse, has the vision of providing a human-centered environment and programming that gives our residents – and their families – the support they need to live their best lives.

Based on the principles of immerse, our welcoming neighborhood has been designed with a singular commitment to preserving the dignity and individuality of every person and family. The principles of this program include providing support, only where needed, to protect autonomy; building relationships between residents, families and team members; offering meaningful, purposeful programs designed to engage and promote self-esteem; and delivering the highest-quality service and care via specially trained team members backed by an experienced clinical team and dedicated director of memory support services.

Angela Champlin, director, Memory Support Services, welcomed residents and family members to the housewarming. “I am thrilled to be here today to celebrate the launch of our new memory support neighborhood. When we enter the memory support neighborhood, we immerse ourselves in the world of each Person Living with Dementia, as is it now. We join their reality. Our new neighborhood helps meet our goal of providing each Person Living with Dementia the dignity, respect and comfort they deserve.”

The new neighborhood features wide-open common spaces complete with two outdoor terraces, a dining room, full kitchen, sitting areas, and much more. The neighborhood is home to well-appointed suites, with features that aid in wayfinding and safe medication storage.

Champlin added, “We purposefully designed the neighborhood like someone’s comfortable home. Therefore, you will never see a rolling dining or medication cart in the hallway.”

Dedicated team members, specialized programs, guidance and support and so much more help create a stimulating environment where residents thrive with dignity and purpose as they navigate their cognitive journey.

In addition to this new memory support neighborhood, The Mansion at Rosemont is home to stunning independent living and personal care apartments all set among the verdant former Beaupre estate in the heart of Bryn Mawr.
