Borne out of personal connections to homelessness, resident Lois Ream and activities director Pat Guerrero have visited the Mission Bay weekly to hand out protein-rich food such as hard-boiled eggs and string cheese. They’re now known as “the egg and cheese ladies.” Many residents have since joined their efforts, and for this holiday season, they gathered to help pack up backpacks with much needed supplies for distribution to the homeless in the local area. Many also wrote personal notes of holiday cheer.
