Since 2016, more than seven million people have viewed resident Flossie Lewis’s interview on the PBS Newshour’s online show “Brief but Spectacular.” At the start of her interview offering her take on aging, Lewis even asked the series creator Steve Goldbloom if the video would go viral.
“We hope so,” he told Lewis then.
When it aired, the former English teacher caught the attention of dozens of former students who reached out to the show’s producer, expressing their appreciation for the impact that Flossie had on their lives. The list of those students includes Daniel Handler, the children's book author who publishes under than pen name Lemony Snicket.
Goldbloom recently returned to Piedmont Gardens for another interview with Lewis for a special episode of his series—this time, he included some of her former students. Check it out below:
