Walmart presents $20,000 donation to support HumanGood’s Cupboards of Care

Walmart and HumanGood are teaming up to bring vital health services directly to senior citizens across Philadelphia County. Throughout the month of August, Walmart pharmacists will host pop-up wellness clinics at 18 HumanGood affordable housing communities, reaching more than 1,400 seniors.

During the kick-off event at Riverside Presbyterian Apartments, Walmart presented a $20,000 check to support Cupboards of Care, HumanGood’s food security and nutrition counseling program that empowers low-income seniors to make healthier food choices.

“HumanGood’s mission is to help older adults live their best lives, however they define it,” said Lynn Johnson, Vice President of Philanthropy at HumanGood. “We are deeply grateful to Walmart for their generous contribution to our Cupboards of Care program, which directly improves food security and well-being for our residents. Partnerships like this one are essential in helping our residents thrive—not only today, but for the long term.”

This collaboration brings essential services directly to our residents, empowering them to live their best lives, however they define it.
