Regents Point’s skilled nursing center earned a national five-star quality rating from the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

The five-star rating for the Village at Windcrest, the highest possible rating obtained by CMS, is based on state-conducted health inspections, staffing and overall quality measures of medical care. CMS ranks nursing centers nationwide with the intent to help families and caregivers to compare nursing homes and make the best choice when deciding on care for a loved one.

“I know how hard the Windcrest team works to provide excellent care, and I often receive commendations from residents who have spent time at Windcrest,” says Melinda Forney, Regents Point executive director.  “Earning a five-star rating is really a reward for the team, because their efforts are now publicly recognized in a meaningful way.”

CMS ratings range from a low one-star (quality below average) to the highest five-star rating (above average quality).  To learn more about CMS and the nursing home compare program, visit Medicare.gov.
