The Terraces give back to local firefighters and police

Residents and team members at the Terraces hosted their seventh annual “thank you” luncheon for the Shannon Road firefighters in appreciation for their service and support of the community. This year, residents and the team also extended their gratitude and appreciation to the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department.

“We obviously call the fire department many more times than the police on any given day, but the attention and response we receive is always the same: professional, timely, compassionate and well-respected,” said Tyler Ichien, the Terraces executive director, in an interview with the Mercury News. “But I think it’s more than that. When you respond, you realize you aren’t just responding to another senior citizen at the old folks home.”
