Assisted Living Residents Support Local Children's Hospital, Homeless Shelter

Subscribe for Updates

A group of residents from our assisted living community have made it their mission to support the local children’s hospital, homeless shelter and cancer patients with a warm blanket.

Nearly half a dozen residents gathered weekly to knit and crochet 28 blankets in early 2019. The blankets were then donated to the A. Miriam Jamison Children’s Center, The Cancer Society and the Bakersfield Homeless Shelter.

Our assisted living residents kicked off the project in 2018 and continue to deliver blankets today.
