Lodge residents support local children’s hospital, homeless shelter

A group of residents from the Lodge, our assisted living residence, have made it their mission to support the local children’s hospital, homeless shelter and cancer patients with a warm blanket.

Nearly half a dozen residents gathered weekly to knit and crochet about 28 blankets that were recently donated to the A. Miriam Jamison Children’s Center, The Cancer Society and the Bakersfield Homeless Shelter. This is the third straight year that our Lodge residents have taken on this project which they kicked off in spring 2018.

And they’re already focused and ready to get started this year!
