Welcome our new Vice President, Healthcare Operations

September 29, 2025 – HumanGood is pleased to introduce Phyllis Stark, DNP, RN, CENP, as our new Vice President, Healthcare Operations. Phyllis joins HumanGood with over 20 years of impactful leadership experience in hospital operations, post-acute care, and systemwide performance optimization.

Prior to joining HumanGood, Phyllis was Chief Nursing Officer and Interim Chief Operating Officer at Watsonville Community Hospital, where she spearheaded financial strategy, standardized care models, and improved patient safety outcomes. She previously held executive roles at Kaiser Permanente, including Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nurse Executive in Fresno, and Regional Chief Nurse Executive, Continuum of Care for Northern California. Her achievements include leading the design and scaling of Hospital at Home, developing systemwide workflows for extended-stay patients, and championing process improvement initiatives. 

Phyllis holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of San Francisco, a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Walden University, and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Riverside Community College. She is a Certified Executive in Nursing Practice (AONL) and has advanced training in healthcare finance and strategic leadership. Phyllis is also an active contributor to industry research and community leadership, serving on multiple boards and committees.
