Latest update on Coronavirus -- March 10, 2023

HumanGood healthcare teams are continuing to track the latest news and information from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as state and local public health department directives. The health and safety of our residents and team members is our highest priority, and it is critical that we do all we can to protect one another from COVID-19.

HumanGood has made COVID vaccinations mandatory for team members across the organization. Team members must have received both doses of a two-shot vaccine or one dose of a one-dose vaccine by October 15, 2021. As one of the largest nonprofit senior living providers in the country, we are joining many of our industry and healthcare peers in mandating vaccination.

With nearly 100 affordable housing communities and 22 life plan communities across eight states, we operate in a complex environment. We continue to monitor the COVID situation daily, and our communities are updating their residents, family members and team members regarding changes at the state and local level.

At this time, we have 55 current positive cases (amongst both residents and team members) of COVID-19 in our 22 life plan communities, where we serve approximately 5,400 residents: three (one resident and two team members) at Judson Park; two residents at Las Ventanas; seventeen (eleven residents and six team members) at Piedmont Gardens; one resident at Redwood Terrace; five (three residents and two team members) at Regents Point; one resident at The Mansion at Rosemont; five (two residents and three team members) at Rydal Park and Waters; one resident at Spring Mill Pointe; one team member at The Terraces at Los Altos; two (one resident and one team member) at The Terraces of Los Gatos; eight (four residents and four team members) at The Terraces of Boise; three residents at The Terraces of Phoenix; four team members at The Terraces at San Joaquin Gardens; and two residents at White Sands La Jolla.

We have zero reported positive cases (amongst both residents and team members) in our 98 affordable housing communities, where we serve more than 8,000 residents.

All visitors, vendors, contractors, team members and residents are screened upon entry into our life plan communities to investigate any travel exposures and to confirm to the best of our ability that they are symptom-free. Any team members experiencing symptoms are required to report their symptoms and/or diagnoses to their supervisor and are strictly prohibited from coming to work in accordance with CDC guidelines.

With respect to the life plan community residents in our care, we are monitoring and focusing on symptom screening, infection surveillance, reviewing procedures and continuously adapting our reopening plans.

We encourage our affordable housing residents to follow local public health guidelines. In addition, we have taken measures including increased cleaning of all common areas on a regular basis; signs are posted throughout the community encouraging physical distancing and frequent hand washing.

Our teams are continuing efforts to keep all communities stocked with medical supplies and sanitizing agents/products.

Again, the health, security and safety of our residents and team members is our highest priority. We will continue to monitor local, state and federal reports, and share information as it becomes available.
