Latest update on Coronavirus -- December 2, 2022

HumanGood healthcare teams are continuing to track the latest news and information from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as state and local public health department directives. The health and safety of our residents and team members is our highest priority, and it is critical that we do all we can to protect one another from COVID-19.

HumanGood has made COVID vaccinations mandatory for team members across the organization. Team members must have received both doses of a two-shot vaccine or one dose of a one-dose vaccine by October 15, 2021. As one of the largest nonprofit senior living providers in the country, we are joining many of our industry and healthcare peers in mandating vaccination.

With 103 affordable housing communities and 22 life plan communities across eight states, we operate in a complex environment. We continue to monitor the COVID situation daily, and our communities are updating their residents, family members and team members regarding changes at the state and local level.

At this time, we have 114 current positive cases (amongst both residents and team members) of COVID-19 in our 22 life plan communities, where we serve approximately 5,400 residents: eleven (nine residents and two team members) at Judson Park; fifteen (six residents and nine team members) at Las Ventanas; five (two residents and three team members) at Piedmont Gardens; four team members at Plymouth Village; eleven (seven residents and four team members) at Regents Point; seven (six residents and one team member) at Rosewood; four (one resident and three team members) at Royal Oaks; twelve (seven residents and five team members) at Rydal Park and Waters; five (one resident and four team members) at The Terraces of Boise; seven (six residents and one team member) at The Terraces at Los Altos; six (three residents and three team members) at The Terraces of Los Gatos; thirteen (nine residents and four team members) at The Terraces of Phoenix; eight (six residents and two team members) at The Terraces at San Joaquin Gardens; four (one resident and three team members) at Valle Verde; and two team members at Westminster Gardens.

We have nine positive case (amongst both residents and team members) in our 103 affordable housing communities, where we serve more than 8,000 residents: one resident at Clark Terrace II; three team members at El Bethel Arms; one team member at Hillcrest Gardens; one resident at Hadley Villas; and three (two residents and one team member) at Pacific Meadows.

All visitors, vendors, contractors, team members and residents are screened upon entry into our life plan communities to investigate any travel exposures and to confirm to the best of our ability that they are symptom-free. Any team members experiencing symptoms are required to report their symptoms and/or diagnoses to their supervisor and are strictly prohibited from coming to work in accordance with CDC guidelines.

With respect to the life plan community residents in our care, we are monitoring and focusing on symptom screening, infection surveillance, reviewing procedures and continuously adapting our reopening plans.

We encourage our affordable housing residents to follow local public health guidelines. In addition, we have taken measures including increased cleaning of all common areas on a regular basis; signs are posted throughout the community encouraging physical distancing and frequent hand washing.

Our teams are continuing efforts to keep all communities stocked with medical supplies and sanitizing agents/products.

Again, the health, security and safety of our residents and team members is our highest priority. We will continue to monitor local, state and federal reports, and share information as it becomes available.
