Financing secured for a new 47-unit affordable housing community in Philadelphia

December 15, 2022 -- HumanGood has secured financing for a new affordable housing community in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Janney Apartments will be a four-story building consisting of 47 one-bedroom units serving low-income seniors 62 years and older. 29 units will be supported by Project Based Vouchers available by the Philadelphia Housing Authority and five units will be reserved for formerly homeless persons.

The new construction is conveniently located near public transportation and is close to a public park. Janney Apartments will offer community gathering spaces, two laundry facilities, and two elevators. Accessible units will also be available for those who have hearing, visual, and physical impairments. The total building area is estimated to be 47,274 square feet.

Groundbreaking will begin this winter and construction is planned to finish in March 2024 with a grand opening to follow.
