Frequently Asked Questions

What is HumanGood?

HumanGood is a nonprofit organization headquartered in California that believes in changing the conversation about senior living. HumanGood provides housing and services for older adults and serves more than 10,000 residents in 96 communities across six U.S. states. HumanGood’s mission is to redefine aging for adults ages 62 and older by offering housing and experiences designed to support residents and their families—as well as team members—in their pursuit of an engaged and purposeful life.

Additionally, HumanGood is passionate about delivering innovative and supportive affordable housing for older adults and is continuously raising the bar in terms of environmental design, programming, innovative supportive services and ever-improving quality standards. Learn more at www.humangood.org.

Can you tell me about the Presby-HumanGood affiliation?

In June 2019, HumanGood and Presby’s Inspired Life (Presby) joined in an affiliation. Presby is the nonprofit parent company of Pennsylvania’s The Mansion at Rosemont, Rydal Park, Rydal Waters and Spring Mill Pointe, as well as 36 affordable housing communities in the greater Philadelphia area. With this affiliation, we now comprise more than 21 Life Plan Communities and more than 100 affordable housing communities across California, Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Washington and Idaho. Even still, we remain dedicated to what makes each of our communities unique.

Why did Presby and HumanGood choose to join forces?

Presby and HumanGood share similar missions as nonprofit organizations that are focused on providing exceptional living experiences and inspiring people to stay engaged and live well. By affiliating, we created a unified organization that is better positioned to compete in the complex senior living field—and do more for more people coast to coast.

Is HumanGood a financially strong organization? May I review its financial statements?

Yes, HumanGood is a financially healthy organization. All financial documentation is readily available at www.humangood.org/disclosures.

How does the affiliation benefit residents and team members?

The recent affiliation means greater growth, which means greater access to resources and a stronger impact of our mission. Here are just a few of the incredible opportunities the affiliation has provided the new communities that have joined HumanGood:

 •   Enhanced performance and care for our residents.

 •   Increased opportunities for team members across a wider network of communities.

•   Continued commitment and innovative affordable housing opportunities.

 •   Greater resources for new products, services and communities, as well as philanthropy.

 •   More resources devoted to innovation and leadership.
