Our Philosophy

With more than 60 years of experience specializing in the needs of older adults, our short-term rehabilitation services are centered on the whole individual. At The Terraces of Phoenix, everything we do is focused on helping you return home as quickly as possible so you can get back to your routine.

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to live a life filled with enthusiasm, confidence and security. With this in mind, we create personalized recovery plans based on each person’s unique recovery goals—from the emotional to the physical.

Our History

As a HumanGood senior living community in North Phoenix, we’ve been providing short-term post-acute rehabilitation services for more than 60 years. Incorporated originally as American Baptist Estates Inc. in 1959 and operating as Orangewood, we became The Terraces of Phoenix in 2003.

HumanGood’s origins go back 70 years, when American Baptist Homes of the West (ABHOW) was founded with the mission of supporting older adults on the journey of aging well. In 2017, ABHOW merged with senior housing provider be.group as HumanGood. Today, HumanGood is one of the nation's largest nonprofit senior living service and housing providers.
