Holiday Gift Packing Party

Born out of a personal connection to homelessness seven years ago, our activities director Pat Guerrero started feeding the homeless once a week on her lunch hour. Last year, a new resident, Lois Ream, heard about this and joined her. Together, they began visiting Mission Bay weekly to distribute protein-rich food such as hard-boiled eggs and string cheese. They quickly became known as “the egg & cheese ladies” and had a regular following of people looking forward to their visits.

As word of Lois and Pat’s impact spread throughout White Sands, more residents joined the effort to help the homeless, creating a team now named the “WhiteHots.” This is just one example of the hundreds of volunteer activities our passionate, caring residents undertake each year.

Come get in the spirit of the season by helping us pack backpacks with much needed supplies for the distribution to the homeless community and writing personal notes of holiday cheer.

Festive holiday refreshments will be served. Complimentary valet parking.
