Am I eligible?

To be eligible for an apartment in our community, at least one of the applicants must be 62 years of age at the time of application. Occupancy is limited to a maximum of two persons per bedroom. For other requirements and application questions, please download the application package if available. Applications also may be obtained at the community.

How to join the waiting list

Demand for low-income senior affordable housing far exceeds availability in most areas. We maintain a Waiting List to provide a fair and equitable way to track interest and make apartments available as they become vacant. Applications shall be distributed only when the Waiting List is open. Refer to the top of this page to see if we’re currently accepting applications.

The Otto Gruber House is opening its waitlist and accepting applications between September 24, 2025 - September 30, 2025. 200 applicants will be accepted to the waitlist based on an automated and randomized lottery system. The community is covered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Section 202/8 Project Rental Assistance Contract and is accepting preliminary applications for one-bedroom apartments.
If you have a disability and need reasonable accommodation, or if you need language translation assistance, we will ensure your needs are met. To request either, please contact our team at the phone number and email address below.
