Event Description
Like ancient Egypt with its Nile, to thrive, California must effectively manage its critical water resources. Like the Roman Empire with its coastline civilization, California has its own network of enormous metropolitan hubs hugging the Pacific Rim.
Join us at Piedmont Gardens as Professor Patrick Hatcher takes us through these historical parallels and future implications for California. Experience one of the stimulating lectures that involve residents, like Professor Hatcher, at Piedmont Gardens and see how perpetual personal growth is central to life at this community.
Patrick Hatcher earned his PhD in American history at UC Berkeley where he taught in the History department and also served as a professor and Vice Chairman of their Political Science department. In addition to authoring three books, Dr. Hatcher taught at UC Davis and the University of San Francisco.
Refreshments will be served.
Limited valet parking provided in lot east of 110 41st Street entrance.
