White Sands in final stages of $20 million renovation

Written by HumanGood | Aug 16, 2017

White Sands La Jolla is in the final stages of a $20 million renovation of its west campus—complete with new community lobby, library, open-air wine bar and bistro.

“This project is a complete reimagining of our west campus,” said Gary Boriero, White Sands executive director, said in an interview with the La Jolla Village News and the La Jolla Light. “All our residents will notice a significant improvement in comfort and design, and the amenities, dining spaces and other common areas we’re investing in will benefit everyone who lives in and visits White Sands.”

The west campus is comprised of north, central and south wings. A range of new finishes and upgrades to hallways, lounges and community furniture and décor will be cornerstones of the project. Residents will enjoy a new beauty salon, game room, pet wash station, hobby room and workshop, and business center. Each wing is slated to open in stages over the next few months, with the project expected to be completed in early 2018.
