Valle Verde Teams Up with Sorority to Benefit The Alzheimer's Association

Written by HumanGood | Apr 10, 2017

Valle Verde teamed up with Sigma Kappa Sorority at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, to raise awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association's Walk to End Alzheimer's.

Just a few years ago, resident Marian Chuan formed an all-women committee to host luncheons, dinners and bake sales to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association. In the committee's three-year history, they have raised around $60,000.

Chapter walk teams, like Sigma Kappa, raised almost 15 percent more in 2016 compared to 2015, bringing in more than $635,000. This year, by joining together our duo raised about $80,000 during the walk. We look forward to many more successful walks as we Walk to End Alzheimer's.
