Nearly two dozen residents at The Terraces at Los Altos are discovering a new skill—how to fly a drone.

Led by fitness director J.C. Guzman, residents are learning the finer points of taking off, steering and preparing their drones for an easy during a bi-monthly class that’s proven to be quite popular.

“We invited residents to step out of their comfort zones,” Cathy Jensen, director of lifestyle and enrichment, told the Los Altos Town Crier. “You’re never too old to learn new things.”

Residents clearly have embraced the new class, launched in September 2017. Outside of simple curiosity, the benefits range from hand-eye coordination to spatial awareness.
