Written by HumanGood | Aug 15, 2022

August 15, 2022 – Nurses Week is celebrated each year from May 6 –12 to honor nurses for their contributions to the medical profession and their dedication to residents, as well as their continued sacrifices throughout the ongoing global pandemic.

This year, we asked team members to submit InspireMe recognitions for Clinical team members. We caught up with some of those amazing nursing team members so we can continue to recognize them all year long!

Read on to find out what being a nurse means to two Terraces at Los Altos team members:

Q. What inspired you to become a nurse?

A. Fifteen years ago, I was working at TLA as a certified nursing assistant. The nurses working there at the time inspired me to become a nurse myself.

Q. What is your favorite memory during your time at HumanGood?

A. I have many favorite memories from over the years. Recently, a resident’s relative came to me and thanked me for sending her father out to the emergency room because it’s likely that my decision saved his life.

Q. What’s the best part about being a nurse at HumanGood?

A. The best part is that I can help people in need, and there are many. My supervisors, administration and residents respect me. It’s a very pleasant and rewarding place to work.

Q. What’s the most important thing you’ve learned during your time as a HumanGood nurse?

A. I learned to observe well and trust my own judgement. I feel I have improved my own perspective on life and work.
