Latest update on Coronavirus -- June 21, 2022 | HumanGood

HumanGood healthcare teams are continuing to track the latest news and information from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as state and local public health department directives. The health and safety of our residents and team members is our highest priority, and it is critical that we do all we can to protect one another from COVID-19.

HumanGood has made COVID vaccinations mandatory for team members across the organization. Team members must have received both doses of a two-shot vaccine or one dose of a one-dose vaccine by October 15, 2021. As one of the largest nonprofit senior living providers in the country, we are joining many of our industry and healthcare peers in mandating vaccination.

With 99 affordable housing communities and 21 life plan communities across eight states, we operate in a complex environment. We continue to monitor the COVID situation daily, and our communities are updating their residents, family members and team members regarding changes at the state and local level.

At this time, we have 91 current positive cases (amongst both residents and team members) of COVID-19 in our 21 life plan communities, where we serve approximately 5,400 residents: one team member at Grand Lake Gardens; two team members at Judson Park; twelve (seven residents and five team members) at Las Ventanas; five team members at Piedmont Gardens; eleven (four residents and seven team members) at Redwood Terrace; thirteen (seven residents and six team members) at Regents Point; one team member at The Mansion at Rosemont; one team member at Rosewood; four team members at Royal Oaks; five (three residents and two team members) at Rydal Park and Waters; four team members at The Terraces of Boise; six (three residents and three team members) at The Terraces at Los Altos; four (two residents and two team members) at The Terraces of Los Gatos; ten (five residents and five team members) at The Terraces at San Joaquin Gardens; three (one resident and two team members) at Valle Verde; and nine (three residents and six team members) at White Sands La Jolla.

We have 33 positive cases (amongst both residents and team members) in our 99 affordable housing communities, where we serve more than 8,000 residents: one team member at Filipino Community Village; one team member at Rotary Plaza; one resident at Allen Temple Arms II; two team members at El Bethel Terrace; one team member at Lil Jackson Senior Community; three (two residents and one team member) at Valley Vista; three (two residents and one team member) at Life’s Garden; nineteen residents at Sun Tower; one resident at Mount Rubidoux Manor; and one resident at The Pearl on Oyster Bay.

All visitors, vendors, contractors, team members and residents are screened upon entry into our life plan communities to investigate any travel exposures and to confirm to the best of our ability that they are symptom-free. Any team members experiencing symptoms are required to report their symptoms and/or diagnoses to their supervisor and are strictly prohibited from coming to work in accordance with CDC guidelines.

With respect to the life plan community residents in our care, we are monitoring and focusing on symptom screening, infection surveillance, reviewing procedures and continuously adapting our reopening plans.

We encourage our affordable housing residents to follow local public health guidelines. In addition, we have taken measures including increased cleaning of all common areas on a regular basis; signs are posted throughout the community encouraging physical distancing and frequent hand washing.

Our teams are continuing efforts to keep all communities stocked with medical supplies and sanitizing agents/products.

Again, the health, security and safety of our residents and team members is our highest priority. We will continue to monitor local, state and federal reports, and share information as it becomes available.
